Test power to the y-axis drives

*With the machine powered off, open the rear door of electrical cabinet and prop the switch to the closed/on position using an object.

*Locate the Y-Axis drivers

*Remove the plastic cover protecting the terminal bridge. Note: In the image below the machine is powered on.

DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS WITH THE MACHINE ON.

*Power on the machine

*Set a multimeter to measure AC Voltage

*Probe both live AC legs. The reading should be around 110 volts.

*If voltage reading is incorrect, the transformer at the front of the cabinet could be defunct. If the power to the drive is correct and the axis does not respond, you may need to replace the Yako drive for that particular axis.

*After done testing, shut down the machine and replace the plastic cover for the terminal bridge of the drive.
